The Covid-19 pandemic was the perfect pretext to bring to light a reality that has been happening for years, but that few mention.
The stay-at-home orders put women in the spotlight, as they had to juggle housework and paid employment. The pressure became so intense that, according to Michael Page, 60% of all jobs lost during the pandemic were held by women.
There is much to be done on this issue, and that is why we believed that this year it was necessary and worthwhile to pay tribute to those women who were protagonists of good news on our pages in 2021.
